Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I bought a restaurant.com certificate for this restaurant and twice we've tried to eat here but their closed.First time was at 5 pm and we saw the sign that they were only open till 3 so we came back today at 1:30 pm and doors were closed but lights were on.My husband called the number and a lady answered and told him the new hours are till 1:30 (sign still says 3) and she couldn't do anything because she turned the oven off. Then we see her peeking through the kitchen door. After seeing these reviews and dealing with this situation I'm exchanging my certificate.Honestly it looks like a cheap diner dive anyway.I wish I could give it no stars.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!! I have eaten here a handful of times and the food is way overpriced, and the service is horrible!!!! I had a man who knew the owner just walked in off the street and walked into the cooking area, opened up the oven and moved my breakfast sandwich with his bare hands to make room for his food. I made them remake my sandwich and I have never returned.

Hands down, best meatball sandwich EVER. Get it on focaccia, it's a real treat! The staff has always been very friendly. No complaints!

I had the Marco Polo wrap, which was reasonably tasty, with grilled chicken, basil, fresh mozz, and bacon. It's a decent little place, and probably one of the better inexpensive places around the Rosemont Convention Center, if you don't feel like spending $20 on lunch at Gibson's. Best wrap of my life? Not close. Better and cheaper than the food at the convention center? Definitely.

This is a gem of a place located near hotel row and the new Akoo theater. What a great option if you are staying at one of the nearby hotels..you can walk over there..or eat at Capital Grille or Gibsons for 10x the price. There are not many reasonably priced lunch options in the area. They are only open for breakfast and lunch..it seems that local workers and civil service workers ie cops are regulars(they always know where the good food is)It is a little difficult to find..you have to go around to the back of the office building..the entrance is not on river road..but it is worth finding. Oh..and you don't have to pay for parking...like a lot of the other places nearby. Plus,,,,they are also known for their catering....and not for the usual items on the menu but chicken, pasta. etc...ask them for their menu. Oh, the place is closed on the weekend, but I have attended a private party there on a Sunday.

"It's pepper egg day!!" To be honest, you are never gonna go to Cafe Nucci unless you work in the same building or right around there. Its in the World Headquarters of Life Fitness...it's small and only open till 3 everyday, so its not like you are gonna go after work. Buuttt all that being said, the ONLY thing worth getting off their menu is served on Friday and its the pepper and egg sandwich. Its traditionally served during lent on Fridays when a lot of people can't eat meat. This is probably the best one I've had in the Chicagoland area and it is definetly worth sending someone out from your office to pick up a few on Friday mornings. You will love it, they serve it with an italian sausage for $1 extra, thats up to you...being that mean to my ateries in the morning is just wrong :-) Btw, they have a full on menu but its pretty run of the mill. I decided to be adventurous and get the spaghetti and meatballs one time and I got A meatball....thats singular.....last time I made that mistake...stick to the pepper egg and you'll be happy

I've given this place another chance and have come to enjoy their Summer Salad with Nucci dressing. The dressing is homemade and quite tasty. I get the salad with grilled chicken...a good salad.

Save your money & Time ... Times are tough when you have to re-use your noodles. I got a container of noodles from Cafe Nucci & the next day they were moldy in my fridge! I will never go to this cafe ever again & If your lucky they give discounts only to the people they like ... and their prices change all the time. The milk in the fridge is always spoiled... they sell cans of pop with ice from a pop machine. (makes no sense ) They handle money then dont wash their hands when they go to grab your food from the cook to plate it up for you. YUCK! I used to enjoy the chicken salad there .. but mainly everything that comes into that place is not made by them .. it comes in a bag... sad.

A particularily disgusting and bland little boite that I am forced to seek sustenance at during my self imposed professional (and thankfully temporary) exile in the hideous, no-reason-to-exist suburb of Schiller Park. The food is odious. Bland. Shoddily presented. A bagel with processed cheese food substitute, microwaved eggs and faux ham has a faint taste of the food worker's horrible, cheap perfume. Revolting. Breakfast orders consistently wrong. A request for BROWN mustard prompts a three minute discussion, no I don't want "honey mustard", I want REAL mustard. Don't bother. Another reason to detest the suburbs.

As someone who never carries cash, I am usually disappointed with restaurants that don't accept credit/debit. It is even more disappointing when the food isn't that great. We went there for lunch one day to try because it is close to my work. The prices were fairly reasonable, until you added on the $2 surcharge for using the ATM machine-contraption. You can find much better food in the actual city - I wouldn't waste your time driving out to a 'burb for this one. Sorry :(
